Eden is here

Eden has arrived. Sapphire is now officially a big sister!

She is four week old and I'm now a diapering expert. I find myself looking at the clock all the time and truly understand the meaning of having sleepless nights!

Sapphire is happy with the routine we've been preparing her. The Hubs and I will take turns with her morning walks but I may have to sacrifice a few evenings walks in a week. Until Eden is old enough (in a couple of months time!) I'll be enjoying walkies together with my two girls.

Some pictures from the phone camera to share :)

Sapphire still seems oblivious to the changes. She has gotten used to all the fussing and crying real quick. They will be bestest friends soon.

waiting

We are waiting... Waiting...

i'm off work!

I've been having the flu and Baby's due in another 4 weeks! How time flies! I will be staying home and the waiting game is about to start. Sapphire has been an angel and tremendous help while I cleaned, organized, and prepare for the arrival.

Sapphire hasn't missed any of her morning and evening walks. The Hubs walks her during weekends and as long as she sticks to her routine, she'll be adjusting just fine in the future.

My happy-go-lucky beagle girl. Oblivious of what's about to change our lives together. For good.

lazy

Yep. Feeling super lazy lately. But! I have been visiting your blogs regularly, just again, a-hem, lazy to even leave a comment. I'm such a baddie.

Little muffin is growing, I'm getting tired (not to mention stretchy!) more easily now and have been napping as often as I can.

Sapphire is getting ready too, she's eying on the mittens and booties. Lol.

mass casualty

Sapphire was having the after-bath crazies. She leaped on my study table (!!) took a pen and chewed it to smithereens. Right after that while I was busy picking up the pieces, she was on top again, this time stole a bag of gummies and emptied it.

Can you believe this face?

visitors

Are you ready to have guests?
Their familiar scent you will be obsessed!
Will you also promise me to behave your best?
Be good! That is my direct request!

It will be fun, I'm sure,
Your little cousin is hard to ignore;
Very soon you will have your own to look out for,
An only child you'll be no more.

Little bun and blithe Sapphire.

scare

We all had our usual day out on Saturday and met up with a friend at her office. Just a few days before she told us a cat came into her room and actually pooped on the rug and scratched the couch. Poor Sapphire barked her lungs out in her crate while we had our conversation so I decided to let her out- obviously the cat left a scent that Sapphire couldn't resist!

A few moments later the Hubs and I both caught her sniffing at a corner and gulping down a container- a container of rat poison!

I quickly opened her jaws and dug out whatever that was in there and went to the nearest Vet. She had two jabs of poison antidotes, some stuffs to make her puke and later some liquid charcoal.

She didn't puke or showed any signs of poisoning so after lingering at the Vet for half an hour, we decided to go home.

I thought she did feel a little  sick when we reached home, panting and restless, finally she laid and slept for the rest of the afternoon. We were really worried and kept on checking up on her from time to time.

The same evening she was back to her usual self, bright and cheery and a good appetite... phew!

These Beagles.

P.s. Our dear friend didn't knew there were rat poison in her office. Maybe the janitor left it there.
